My love of pottery began in the late 60's when I first visited Nashville, IN and watched the local potter
work in his shop. I was mesmerized as his hands formed the clay with such ease. A few years later I
took a pottery class at the local art school but I didn't have much success and working in the clay fell
by the wayside as I raised a family.
Ellie and I went to Hawaii for our 5th anniversary and spent some time working with the book "The
Artist's Way". I said something about pottery and Ellie said there is reverence in my voice whenever I
mentioned it. I vowed to take another class when I got home. I did. And it changed my life.
That was in 2003. Within a year I was working as a full-time potter. I opened Light N Up Art Co-op in
2004 and began teaching pottery classes in 2007. Today I teach, do some festivals, and sell my
pottery in the Big Bend area of northern Florida. Its all been a dream come true!
My pottery is available at Pecan Tree Antiques in Havana and Lily Pads in Grayton Beach, FL.

Spirit Spins is a pottery business owned and operated by Terri
Lantz. It is located just north of historic Havana, FL about 16
miles north of Tallahassee.
I moved to Havana in October 2004 when my partner Ellie got a
job in Tallahassee. We bought a home on 5 acres of some of
the most beautiful rolling woods in northern Florida and
remodeled an old guest house so I could use it as my pottery
studio.
